Resort change for any reason waiver and travel insurance/trip cancellation insurance

The resort offers a "Change For Any Reason Waiver" (see this link for the must up-to-date information:  https://www.hedonism.com/change-for-any-reason-waiver/). 


Because payments become non-refundable after the deadline per the resort and event policy, Concations highly recommends that you buy the waiver and that you ALSO purchase third-party trip cancellation insurance and travel health insurance. The resort's "Change For Any Reason Waiver" gives you a credit for the room portion of your total invoice and allows you to rebook within a year.  If the resort waiver is not included on your invoice, then you do not have it. You have 7 days to purchase the waiver from your initial booking. You can purchase the wavier here. We highly recommend the same.


You can purchase our Hedo Change Waiver within 7 days of your initial deposit, before final payment is due, and you will be allowed to cancel or change your hotel arrangements up to the day of departure for any reason. This Waiver does not cover flights, lost baggage, trip interruption, any optional activities such as sightseeing, spa/salon services, wedding license processing fees, and extras, nor does it cover any event package fees beyond the hotel that are bundled with your group booking. The Waiver is non-refundable and only covers the portion of your booking that is attributed to the cost of your hotel stay. The Hedo Change Waiver may not be purchased after you have made your final payment for your trip. This Waiver Benefit is provided by Hedonism II and is not an insurance benefit. We STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to purchase trip protection coverage if your booking with us includes flights.


CONCATIONS HIGHLY RECOMMENDS THE WAIVER1 


The change for any reason waiver allows you to reschedule your trip at any time before the day of your arrival without losing your entire investment by covering the room portion of your registration costs. It does not refund any payments that you made. you will be able to apply the value of the hotel portion of your package as a credit to the hotel room portion of a future Concations event or to travel on your own to the resort. Please remember that published Concations package rates include a room portion that you can offset with the waiver credit, as well as other fees and costs that cannot be offset by the hotel credit. To determine your room credit value, please contact us.  You will be able to use that credit for one year from your original travel dates, but you cannot re-buy the waiver after you re-book. 


Your credit would be the value of your room. You will be able to apply your credit to the hotel room portion of a future Concations event or to travel on your own to the resort. Please remember that published Concations package rates include room and other fees that cannot be offset by the hotel credit, so the credit will not match the total fees paid on your invoice for the event, nor will it completely offset future event package fees. Finally, since the resort rates fluctuate from season to season, your credit may not completely cover the same number of nights in the same room category. 

 

To use your credit, you can simply contact us or register for a Concations event. If you register for one of our upcoming events, just let us know on the registration that you have the waiver credit and we can apply it to the room portion of your new booking. If you want to book travel on your own, just let us know. 


IMPORTANT: THE HEDO CHANGE WAIVER DOES NOT OFFER A CASH REFUND BUT ALLOWS YOU TO CHANGE DATES WITHOUT PENALTY. THE VALUE OF YOUR HOTEL STAY MAY BE TRANSFERRED TO A FUTURE CONCATIONS EVENT OR OTHER DATE UP TO ONE YEAR FROM THE ORIGINAL TRAVEL DATE. THIS WAIVER MAY ONLY BE PURCHASED ONCE AND IF YOU DO NOT TRAVEL WITHIN ONE YEAR OF YOUR ORIGINAL DATE YOU WILL FORFEIT THE ENTIRE VALUE OF YOUR HOTEL STAY. The resort change for any reason waiver is through the resort and Conations is not responsible for it, does not administer it, and cannot be responsible for the resort's application or interpretation of the waiver rules.


If the resort waiver is not included on your invoice, then you do not have it. Contact us ASAP to purchase the waiver. Please note that the waiver is not refundable per the resort's policy.


Note that your booking must be paid in full to activate the resort's change for any reason waiver.

Travel Health Insurance (highly recommended):


While the resort has a nurse available or can refer you to a local doctor for routine health issues, your medical insurance will likely not cover medical expenses in Jamaica. A serious matter involving medical evacuation or long-term injury could be extremely costly (often $30,000+).


Plans are available through private companies like Travel Safe and United HealthcareWhy Buy Travel Insurance?

Travel Insurance typically covers you in the following circumstances:

  • In case you have to cancel or cut your trip short due to a family medical emergency, natural disaster or vendor bankruptcy.
  • You will be covered for oversees medical expenses and emergency transportation to the United States.
  • You will get money to help cover the costs of lost or stolen baggage.
  • You have a 24/7 travel assistance program available to help you with travel emergencies.
  • If you don’t purchase travel insurance, your deposit or final payment will not be refunded outside of the terms on your invoice.

Many plans cover both travel health and trip cancellation coverage for covered events. That coverage may go beyond the resort's waiver since it may provide refunds in some cases.
